Athletes & Parents,

We’ve had to change the entries a great deal due to the annual “Team Plague”, which has many athletes out. Typically we don’t have the plague twice in a season, so I suppose it’s always great to get it out of the way! We did however have a record 17 out from practice today.

The entry List is attached for tomorrow’s meet. Remember all athletes are responsible for practice from 6:30-8:30am, but only those competing tomorrow have to attend the meet at North Central.

  • Bus will depart at 8:40am.
  • Meet begins at 11:30am.
  • Meet expected to end at 2:00pm.
  • Bus will return around 3:00pm.

Rest up and don’t forget to hydrate!

Greetings Franklin Family!

Congrats goes out to the girls team who were able to secure their 5th County Championship in-a-row, due to some gutsy performances made by quite a few individuals. Our Franklin boys also had a solid afternoon, filled with tons of seasonal best times. Regardless of the sting of defeat, I’m incredibly proud of these boys and how they competed throughout the day.

Excellence doesn’t happen by accident and these athletes are committed to getting better each and every day. As a coach, I can’t help but be proud of all of their responses to adversity and being challenged. We will get better and I’m honored to be a part of it all. “You don’t get what you wish for, you get what you work for.” With that said, we’re back to work this week!
  • Monday (12/23) – 7-11am at FCMS (yes, the middle school due to some maintenance being done tomorrow at the HS)
  • Tuesday (12/24)- 7-10am at the HS
  • Wednesday (12/25) – Merry Christmas
  • Thursday (12/26) – 1-4pm
  • Friday (12 / 27) – 6:30-8:30am – Athletes will depart immediately after the practice to attend the North Central HS Panther Invite, which will begin at 11:30 and will likely conclude at 1:30pm. There will be 5 swimmers allowed per event, which is more than typical, so majority of athletes will be swimming. Those swimmers not swimming in the meet will NOT be required to attend this meet and may leave at 8:30am. The kids who are swimming will be notified by Tuesday so that they can prepare!
  • Saturday (12/28) – 7-10am

I hope to have the training calendar out to the kids via google classroom sometime this evening.
