We want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to work/support our athletes at the Hall of Fame meet! It would not have been near as successful without your willingness to give of your time! Here is some quick info. for the coming weeks:

1. Remember if your athlete is not riding the bus back to FCHS after the away meets, you will need to turn in a travel release form to a parent rep at the meet. A new form must be filled out for each meet. We will have some available if you do not have one.
2. Breakfast/Concession/Timer sign-ups have been sent out for January! I can’t tell you how much your eagerness to help is appreciated!
3. The apparel order was dropped off at T-Shirt Express today. After talking with the owner, I am fairly certain we will have the spirit wear in and passed out to you before Christmas.
4. Any needed information about the Training Trip on Dec. 30 and 31 will be shared closer to the date.
5. If you have not requested to be part of then Franklin Swimming and Diving Shutterfly site, you are missing out. Just search fchssd.shutterfly.com This site will be a valuable resource in February when making a Sectional poster for your swimmer or diver. More info to follow about this poster!

Saturday is the BIG DAY… The Annual Hall of Fame Meet! It should be both fast and fun. Please remember that this meet will be set up differently than the HOF meets in the past. All athletes will be swimming in one pool. Diving and swimming will be held simultaneously. All heats are times finals. Admission is $10 for the entire day of swimming and diving.

There will be a break between the morning and afternoon sessions. During this break, athletes will be provided lunch and listen to a speaker. If you volunteered for the meet, I know that you were sent a reminder via Sign-up but I wanted to provide everyone with a quick and simple breakdown of the day. Coach DeWitt will provide the athletes with their schedules.

Saturday Schedule:
Volunteer working check-in desk arrives: 9:20 am
Volunteers (timers) for morning session arrive: 9:30 am
Morning session starts: 10:00 am

Luncheon and speakers for athletes immediately following 1st session: approximately 12:30-1:20 pm

Volunteer working check-in desk arrives: 2:20 pm
Volunteers (timers and concession) for afternoon session arrive: 2:30 pm ( doors will open at this time)
Afternoon session starts: 3:00 pm
End of HOF Meet: approximately 6:00 pm

FINAL REMINDER: The spirit store order forms and money are due to the lock box Friday, December 6 by 6:00 pm. There are some great items available that will not only support Franklin Swim and Dive but also a local business- T-Shirt Express! Thanks for ordering!

I have posted the Franklin Swimming and Diving Spirit Wear Order on Team Pages. You can find this form by just scrolling past the announcements to the section that comes up titled Documents. (Do not use the document tab at the top of the screen.) The form is posted at the bottom of this section as a PDF. _ If you are unable to find or print the form, I will have paper copies on hand at the pool tomorrow and also Tuesday at the meet._

All spirit wear orders and money are due to the high school lock box by 6:00 pm on December 6. We want the turnaround on these orders to be as timely as possible- therefore no late orders will be accepted! Don’t miss the opportunity to support our swimmers and divers by wearing some new Franklin gear to the pool!

If you haven’t signed up to be part of this Franklin Swimming and Diving photo site, please follow the directions below. Photographs from team events and meets are uploaded for you to see! You will LOVE it!

Directions:
1. Go to fchssd.shutterfly.com This will take you to the Shutterfly site to either sign-in or sign-up.
2. If you are not a member, click the “Don’t have an account. Sign up” button.
3. It will direct you to type your name/message that connects to your email so that a request can be sent for entrance to the site.
4. A request will be sent to the site administrator: Jodi Meinczinger
5. She will confirm your request and an email will be sent to you with directions on how to access the photos!

You will want to see these photographs throughout the season so sign-up now so that you won’t miss anything!

Quick Note:
1. Apparel will be delivered via UPS on Monday. We will get it sorted and passed out ASAP.

Boys’ Suits: Boys suits are scheduled to arrive via UPS tomorrow. We will pass those out before the athletes get on the bus for the Columbus meet! Fingers crossed we are all suited and ready to swim a fast meet!

Travel release forms: If your swimmer or diver is not riding the bus back to FCHS with the team after the meet, you must fill out a travel release form. These can be found in the document section under forms on Team Pages. We will have extras at the meet in case you do not have one. Please fill out, date, and sign this form before handing it to a parent rep. It would be very helpful if you could have this done before the diving portion of the meet ends! It your swimmer or diver is riding the team bus back to FCHS, you will not need to worry about this form.

Thanksgiving Breakfast: Morning practice is scheduled to end at 9:30. Our athletes will be ready to eat! If you are supplying something for Thanksgiving breakfast, please have it to the area just outside the pool sometime between 9:00-9:30am. There will be tables set up for food. Please don’t forget to bring a serving utensil if needed and an extension cord if you need to plug something in to keep it warm. Please feel free to stay and mingle with everyone! Gobble, Gobble!

Athletes arrive: 9:30ish
Breakfast clean-up and parent pick up: 10:15ish
