The season officially starts for our high school girls tomorrow! I just wanted to reach out with a short list of items that anyone might need to know as we get things started at FCHS! Please take a moment to read:

1. Due to the FRST meet this weekend, the team room will be set up for and ready with snacks and cold breakfast items Tuesday after practice. Our first HOT BREAKFAST service is on Tuesday, October 24! Thank you to those sweet souls who are conquering this first breakfast service. Please remember we NEED at least 2 parents (moms, dads, grandparents, older siblings) to stay to help serve and clean up. The athletes will love seeing your faces Tuesday morning. Set up in the hospitality/team room at 6:45 am. Athletes should be ready to eat at 7:00 am.

2. Please turn in money and forms ASAP! One of us will be in the hospitality room on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 4:30-5:45 pm. We can collect money and forms. Your son/daughter can also put any clearly labeled forms/money in the lockbox in the TEAM ROOM. I check that regularly.

3. The REQUIRED athlete apparel store is now live. https://franklinsd23.itemorder.com/ This store will close on Oct. 31 at 11:59pm. The parent/fan store will close on Oct. 27.

4. If you prefer to complete most forms online, you can sign your athlete up at https://ggle.io/6Hbe. Dont forget to switch user.

5. Finally, I sent out October/November’s hot breakfast sign-up calendar! Some spots for the hot breakfast service are already filled! Thank you! Please remember that we are asking…possibly begging… for each family to sign up for AT LEAST 3 breakfast services this season. Many hands make for light work! Let’s all pitch in and make this a great season for our hard-working athletes!

Again, I apologize if you are getting duplicate emails, I am still trying to get everyone loaded on TeamPages and TeamSnap.

Hey guys,
I’m not quite sure what’s going on with my immune system, but I went to bed feeling bad last night, waking up this morning feeling a great deal worse.

I have a temperature of 101.9 this am, I’m not sure it’s in anyone’s best interest for me to run practice. I’m really sorry about cancelling last second, giving you less time to prepare.

I’m hoping that my health will improve in the coming hours, allowing me to attend the meet this weekend.

Due to current dense fog, FCHS has pushed back our start time to 9:45am, and has also advised all AM activities to be cancelled.

Please be careful on the roads this am on your way to school.

Hey Franklin Family,

Let me begin by saying that I hope you all make it a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones, be they friends or family.

Unfortunately, with the orange travel advisory not being lifted as of 8:15 tonight, Athletic Director Bill Doty has cancelled morning practices with our school.

We will not practice in the PM, so I take this message to say, Have a very Merry Christmas! Look forward to seeing you all next Monday, December 26th at 7am.

I’ll be sending the schedule and training plan tomorrow, but the times are as follows:

Monday: 7-9,3-5
Tuesday: 7-9,3-5
Wednesday: 8-9:15
Thursday: 1:00-3:30pm, w training trip to follow
Friday: 10a-12 at the Natatorium
Saturday: 7-10a

As anticipated, FCS is closed to all activities this afternoon, so there will be no practices offered this PM.

At this time, we are hopeful that we will be having practice tomorrow at normal hours. I’ll keep you posted as I hear the information.
