Info to Know for the Week

Posted by Franklin Community Swimming & Diving on Nov 22 2020 at 11:59AM PST in 2020-21 | FCHSSnD Season

Monday:
I will be at the pool after practice on Monday to pass out suits and caps. Every swimmer will receive a latex cap. I have already passed out most of the silicone caps that have been paid for. If your athlete has not received one and you paid for a silicone cap, please remind him/her to come see me after practice. If your athlete has not picked up his/her warm-up yet, I will have those to pass out as well on Monday.

Tuesday (Meet Day):
Make sure you have ordered your 2 tickets online for Tuesday’s meet. They will not be selling tickets at the door. The previous post on Team Pages provides the link to order tickets. You will need your student’s name and student ID number to purchase these.

If you have signed up to volunteer as a timer, concession worker, photographer, or a member of the fort crew, you will NOT need to purchase a ticket for yourself. Your name will be on a list at the ticket counter. Just give the volunteer at the ticket booth your name, and you will be admitted free. If volunteers can arrive around 5:00, then I can have everyone accounted for before the senior walk-outs start. Thank you for volunteering.

The meet is scheduled to start at 5:30. We will be having a presentation of our seniors before that time. We look for that presentation to start at 5:00 or after depending on the timing of the meet. Please come to celebrate these senior athletes! They so deserve it! We appreciate your patience as the set-up and rules for meets this season are different.

Wednesday:
Practice is scheduled to end at 9:30. Breakfast will be available to the athletes at the completion of practice and Coach DeWitt’s Circle of Thanks.

People who volunteered to drop off food for Thanksgiving Breakfast can start doing so from 9:00-9:25. To keep the numbers of individuals low inside of the pool area, we ask that you drop off your food at door 11. Someone will be there to take your donation inside for you. Thank you again for cooking for our athletes!

Please try to bring your items packaged in throw away containers if possible. Whenever you can, individually wrap or bag items so that athletes are able to serve themselves quickly and easily. We will have 5 volunteers available to serve items that can’t be individually packaged. If your food item needs to be kept warm, please send it in a crock pot or warming dish. Labeling this dish with your name will also help us to get it back to the owner.

Volunteers who signed up to help with Thanksgiving Breakfast set-up and service, please arrive at 8:45. We will be setting up inside of the pool area. Do not forget your masks- as we will need to wear them throughout the entire Thanksgiving Breakfast.

If you have any questions, please reach out! This is a different season to navigate, but we are so happy that we can creatively and safely provide some normalcy to our athletes! Thank you for helping with that!
